Dear Lisa
I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the weaving-walking day in Myddfai last Saturday.
I loved the quiet concentration and gentle conversation of the weaving workshop in the morning, the cawl with bread and cheese for lunch from the community centre cafe and the wonderful walk on the hills and through the woods around Myddfai in the afternoon.
It was the perfect combination. And I made a lovely woollen mat to take on future walks !
Thank you for your teaching and expert guidance which made the whole day so enjoyable and worthwhile.

I have been on two walks/ courses planned by ‘Quiet Walks’ and both were a lot of fun. The first was a beginners map reading course which taught me a great deal about observing my surroundings and interpreting and applying these to the map.

The second was 9 mile walk to Cynghordy Viaduct. I found Lisa from ‘Quiet Walks’ to be very non-judgemental/friendly and willing to accommodate all levels of fitness with no one being left behind or made to rush. Breaks were well timed and both events were carefully planned. ‘Quiet Walks’ only walk with small groups giving participants the chance to walk silently and day dream or talk with others as they wish. I did a bit of both and returned feeling refreshed and happy.

I would DEFINITELY recommend Quiet Walks. We did the Garn Goch walk. Thoroughly enjoyed. Lisa is very accommodating to every level of walking abilities and was aware of everyone’s needs. I will definitely be joining Lisa again. Plus I learnt a few things along the way. See you soon.

I highly recommend Lisa’s Quiet Walks. We did a really lovely route around Carreg Cennen Castle. The scenery is really stunning throughout with lots of variety. The route was beautifully planned by Lisa, taking in some really interesting sights. I also thought the pace was managed perfectly for the whole group. Lisa knew just when and where to stop and admire the view and have a revitalising snack. It makes a real difference when someone tells you the local stories and points out the wild plants and birds. I highly recommend this walk and Quiet Walks in general!

A great circular walk yesterday to Garn Goch with Lisa of QW. She was mindful of all the walkers’ needs and interests, providing interesting anecdotes and information about the area. Was even able to identify ‘tuberous comfrey’ in the hedgerow!

The best views of the Towy Valley and beyond, in great company. Diolch yn fawr.
