This energetic walk starts and ends at the lovely Myddfai Community Hall which has a super cafe and shop selling locally-made crafts and gifts. They also have monthly Farmers Markets. Myddfai is famous for its history associated with the Physicians of Myddfai and there is well -presented information about them in the cafe.

After a short section of country lane you climb through several fields, culminating in a high point with spectacular panoramic views of the Tywi Valley, Mynydd Myddfai, Bannau Brycheiniog and the Cambrian Mountains. The route then descends towards Cilgwyn Woods which are stunning all year round, but especially in Spring and Autumn due to the number of beech and oak trees. The next ascent brings more views, this time looking east towards Garn Goch and on a clear day, the iconic slopes of Fan Foel and Picws Du above Llyn Y Fan.

The walk returns to Myddfai via fields and lanes after which you can treat yourself to delicious a delicious lunch or cake (or both!) in the cafe.

The walk has several stiles, muddy sections and livestock may be encountered.
