COST: £15 per person on scheduled walks
This nice flat 5.5km walk in this lovely little former Spa town follows, for the most part, the ‘Town Trail’ and the ‘Country Heritage Trail’. It heads into the town (noted as the smallest town in Britain) from the station then tracks the left bank of the river Irfon as far as Dinas Mill and the historic St David’s Church. The route is along woodland paths and the edges of fields with plenty of nice views en route. After a stop to look inside the church, the walk then tracks back on the opposite bank of the river, through Dolycoed Park, passing the former spa hotels, back to the bustling town which has several independent shops, pubs and an interesting Heritage Centre.
